Artists and sports figures unite in a new :60 public service announcement featuring HeadCount, the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to register voters and promote participation in democracy. Their message to young voters is simple: you can’t afford to mute yourself.
Featured sports figures include soccer players Zack Steffen and Sydney Leroux, basketball coach Marisa Moseley, NFL player Alex Highsmith and ESPN host Charly Arnolt. Musical artists featured include Jai Wolf, A-Trak, Lane 8, Kill the Noise and Frenship. The PSA’s simple, impactful execution, wherein voices actively unmute themselves, is meant to drive young voters to cast their ballots and be heard this November.
The PSA can be found here on the Wasserman Music YouTube channel. The content will also run on Instagram for Wasserman and Wasserman Music, and the agency’s LinkedIn and Twitter channels.
Wasserman has partnered with HeadCount as part of its own Let's Vote! campaign. The alliance seeks to encourage Wasserman staff, clients and their extended communities to understand and use the power of their vote. The collection of talent was assembled from Wasserman’s roster of music and sports clients; the work was created by Wasserman’s creative agency, Laundry Service. The spot will live across YouTube, Instagram and other social media via HeadCount and Wasserman’s channels.
