Daryl Hall and Todd Rundgren at the Ryman Auditorium

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Daryl Hall and Todd Rundgren recently graced the stage of the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Performing for a sold-out crowd of predominantly baby boomers, Rundgren, backed by Daryl’s House Band, opened the show with a fantastic hour-long set featuring the classics “Hello It’s Me”, “I Saw The Light", and “We Gotta Get You A Woman”.

Following a brief intermission, Daryl Hall was greeted by thunderous applause as he walked on stage. Touring in support of his first-ever solo retrospective.” BeforeAfter” (Legacy Recordings), and his first solo tour in a decade, Hall, joined by his House Band, launched into a memorable performance of his solo material, Hall and Oates selections, and a few rock classics. Highlights included “Dreamtime”, “Everytime You Go Away”, “Sacred Songs”, “Babs and Babs”, “Sara Smile”, and “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)”. Rundgren returned to the stage joining Hall for renditions of “Wait For Me” and “Can We Still Be Friends?". Reaching back to their Philadelphia roots, the duo performed a rocking version of the classic Soul Survivors song “Expressway To Your Heart”. The Eurythmics Dave Stewart made a surprise guest appearance teaming up with Hall performing a unique interpretation of the 1980 hit “Here Comes The Rain Again.” The crowd rose to their feet as Hall closed out the night with fan-favorite “You Make My Dreams (Come True)”.
