The Cutting Edge CE Conference announced it will present the Lifetime Achievement Award To Reid Wick. For over 25 years Reid Wick has contributed to the well being of the New Orleans music community as a musician, educator, entrepreneur, industry leader. In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane, Katrina Reid was a rallying voice tirelessly helping New Orleans musicians salvage their careers. His work with MusiCares helped replace instruments, established relocation housing and put musicians back to work.
As the senior Membership and Project Manager at the Recording Academy (the Granny folks), Reid is an avid promoter for the New Orleans and Louisiana music industry. His efforts working with the Governor of Louisiana and the State Legislature was a compelling reason for the state to enact the “Sound Recording Investor Tax Credit.” We look forward to his continued advocacy in the years to come.
