Converse and Moog Music Provide Free Recording Time

converse x moogConverse Rubber Tracks and Moog Music Inc. have partnered to present “Converse Rubber Tracks X Moog,” a weeklong residency--from Feb. 23-27--providing free recording time to aspiring artists and access to a roster of state-of-the-art Moog equipment, including the Moog Model 15. This partnership with Moog will also provide artists the opportunity to record under the guidance of acclaimed DJ/producer and Moog artist Nick Hook. Following the recording session, artists will retain all rights to their work.

Converse Rubber Tracks X Moog will take over the Brooklyn Converse Rubber Tracks studio for a full week, where five emerging artists--hand-picked by Hook--will record original music in an advanced, high-tech studio setting. Utilizing top-of-the-line studio equipment provided by Moog, chosen artists will also have rare access to the Moog Model 15 for the first time in 50 years. Recently re-released, the Moog Model 15 synthesizer has 5U large format modular synthesizers with its updated model–built from the original circuit board films found in 1973–taking on original, vintage form.

In addition to the Moog Model 15, Converse Rubber Tracks will also be outfitted with top-of-the-line, usable equipment including the Minimoog Voyager Electric Blue; LPS–Sub–001; Sub 37 Tribute; EW Plus, Ash, 110V, DVD; Minifooger Analog Delay; MF 103 110V, Manual; MF 107 110V, Manual; MF 101 110V, Manual; EP-3 Expression Pedals and 500 Series Ladder Filters.
