The last day of Bonnaroo would truly be one of my favorites. Dave Matthews Band, the band that made me want to start my own group, was scheduled to end the festival with a bang and that’s exactly what they did.
The July issue of Music Connection explores the wonderful world of Public Relations. It’s filled with insights and advice from a variety of sources, including PR pros and artists.
The energy was palpable even though the festival was already 2 days into the groove. Everyone was anticipating Stevie Wonder’s set as well as Jay-Z, who would be performing for 2 hours after Stevie.
The next morning, I got up and traveled to the festival grounds with excitement pumping through my veins.
The anticipation was building like a locomotive on the run. This year would be my 4th Bonnaroo experience, 2 of the years I attended I actually performed with my band, the Nikhil Korula Band, in 2008 & 2009, but this year, I was coming as a fan.
Whether they come around to it or not, Dick Wagner is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame worthy contender. His work for Lou Reed and Alice Cooper alone should qualify him, but oh, I forgot, this year Alice got snubbed in favor of. . . ? ABBA? Are you kidding me? Fine, I realize [...]
