Album Review: Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly (8/10)

d71a94b751b18e4bf7622a05680014c5bb7acb75With great power comes a greater responsibility and Kendrick Lamar exercises his
position honestly. The Walter Cronkite
of Black America delivers this relevant
release, time specific and touching on issues continuing to influence Black culture.
Fearless and raw with his messages,
Kendrick keeps his vibe funky with tracks like “King Kunta,"  jazzy like “Hood Politics," and spiritually poetic like “u” and “Mortal Man." Creative with a vision, Dr. Dre’s protégé promises signs of musical greatness that hip-hop listeners should not ignore.
