The Wailers Take A Step For Mankind

The Wailers have teamed up with the United Nations and the World Food Programme to release their first studio song in 16 years. The track, “A Step For Mankind,” specifically written and recorded for the WFP, calls out to everyone to contribute and help eradicate hunger in the world. Wailers’ bass player Aston Familyman Barrett says, “Hunger is a grave problem plaguing our world today–the statistics are overwhelming. … In addition to donating our tour rider hospitality money, we are selling wristbands for $2 donations at our shows. We strongly encourage everyone to join and help the largest humanitarian organization in the world.” You can learn more about the World Food Programme by visiting wfp.org.
