Grammy Party Raises Money for Nashville
The 12th Annual Grammy Block Party and Membership Celebration offered the chance for Recording Academy members of the Nashville Chapter to come together and celebrate music with a variety of vendors and exciting live performances. In light of the recent floods in the Nashville area, this year’s event served as a fundraiser for the newly established MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund, helping local musicians in need. Emergency assistance already has begun, and 100 percent of every dollar raised was immediately distributed to help those in the music community that are victims of the flood. Donations to MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief may still be made online at www.musicares.com/NashvilleFloodRelief. MusiCares’ initial assistance will provide funds for food and clothing, gasoline and transportation, clean-up efforts, relocation costs, medicine and other critical supplies.
