Yamaha Piano Raises $200K for Keys’ Charity
Yamaha donated a very special C2S piano to Alicia Keys’ Black Ball charity event, and it was auctioned off for $200,000! Alicia most recently played the piano, which features a wrap design of the New York City skyline, at the MTV Video Music Awards show and in a music video with Jay Z for his song “Empire State of Mind.” The celeb-filled 6th Annual ball, which honored former president Bill Clinton, Sir Richard Branson and Youssou N’Dour, took place on Oct. 15 in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom. All proceeds benefit the AIDS organization Keep a Child Alive.
