Don’t Kill The Word ‘Showcase’
The term ’showcase’ is one of the most overused in the entertainment industry. Many music events around are termed showcases, though not all of them really are. A true showcase is and an event that industry reps are invited to — and do in fact attend — for the purpose of checking out new talent.
