A benefit will take place on Oct. 4 in Agoura Hills, CA, at the Canyon Club to raise money to assist Richie Hayward in his medical expenses. Hayward has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver, the website www.richiehaywardbenefit.com has been created to help. Also, Bruce Barber and Leslie Butts have contacted a number of companies to get involved with door prizes and other items for the auction. Companies that are already involved are, Drum Workshop, Sabian, Zildjian, Pearl, Gretsch, Yamaha, Tama, Mapex, DDRum, Guitar Center, Modern Drummer, Drum! Magazine, LA Weekly, Southland Blues Magazine, and many others and more to be named.
