Daily Green

At Music Connection we feel it’s important for artists and musicians to be aware of the impact they have on the environment and on the fortunes of others. So please make it a point to click on the green heart for tons of green tips and info about how musicians are making a difference in the world.

Always check the Archive menus on this page for Green Events you may have missed.

Allman Bros., Wide Spread Panic, ask for used cell phones donations

Environmental advocacy organization Rock the Earth has partnered with the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic asking concert attendees to bring their unwanted mobile phones (and chargers, adapters, etc.) at the bands’ upcoming September U.S. tour stops. Participants will receive 20 percent off a future Musictoday purchase, and will be entered into a nightly drawing for an Instant Live soundboard recording of the band’s performance; a Gibson guitar; and entry into the national mobile phone recycling campaign Grand Prize of the “Party Like A Rock Star” experience (winner plus 12 friends wins use of  the Gibson Tour Bus for a one night concert excursion.) If you cannot attend but wish to participate, visit www.collectivegood.com/rocktheearth for an online entry form and free shipping. Also check out www.RockTheEarth.org.
