If you live in the New York/Tri-State area and you love blues and jazz, there’s a great little place called The turning Point in the great little town of Piermont NY. I was there a couple of nights ago and had the pleasure of catching blues duo Satan and Adam (Sterling Magee and Adam Gussow). Satan doesn’t solo much on the guitar, but he’s a master at working a groove on any part of the fretboard, in all types of shapes and voicings. Adam, on the other hand, can teach a master’s class in the harp, and he talks a lot about the art and craft of harmonica in between songs. The combo are the subject of a documentary called, you guessed it, Satan and Adam!
