ASCAP hosts benefit for musician/member Kelly Buchanan

ASCAP Presented a benefit concert for New York singer-songwriter Kelly Buchanan, who was injured during a street hockey game in March 2008 and is suffering from traumatic brain damage. Fellow singer-songwriters Glen Phillips, Sara Bareilles, Maria Taylor and Paris Carney performed sets to raise funds for Buchanan’s health care. Says ASCAP exec Brendan Okrent, “ASCAP is happy to step up again to help our member Kelly, who has shown remarkable courage and grace throughout this ordeal” Fans who cannot attend the show but still wish to contribute may donate via Paypal at www.kellybuchanan.com.
