Exactly one year ago today, the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent marked his 6,000th show by playing to over 20,000 shit-kickin fans at the DTE Energy Music Center in Detroit. Needless to say, the hometown crowd loves their hometown hero, the guy who will hunt and shoot almost anything for protein, the rocking gonzo who wears a loincloth like no other. Eagle Rock Entertainment has just put out the DVD, Blue Ray, and CD versions of this historic show. We’re talkin’ 23 songs that are all likely to give you a severe case of the ol’ catch scratch fever. You know he’s a patriot, so what are you waiting for? He even does the Star Spangled Banner, for heaven’s sake!

My only complaint is that Ted didn’t do “Journey to the Center of Your Mind.” Does he do that ever?
