IPR lends support to Minneapolis’ Ideawerks after-school program
IPR in collaboration with The Jackie Lee Robinson Foundation and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, is helping to resurrect a multimedia arts education program in Minneapolis’s own Powderhorn Park, called Ideawerks. Led by André Fischer, IPR has contributed state-of-the-art computers, multimedia software and digital recording equipment as well as certified instructors, curriculum and teaching aides. The Ideawerks Indigenous Creative Academy will provide kids (ages 12 -18) with the platform and tools that are vital to creating an album from conception to completion. Some of the biggest names in the industry, including Digidesign, Sennheiser, M-Audio and Apple, have donated equipment. For more, visit www.ideawerks.org.
