Should bands press up 1,000 CDs to send out to label A&R reps? NO! Those CDs, whether in the form of singles, EPs or albums, will be much more effective if they’re part of a business model involving touring and sales of your music. A new artist’s biggest asset is their fan base and the only way to expand your audience is by performing in front of people in targeted markets and selling music and merchandise at your shows.
