When I interviewed Don Randi a few months ago for our feature on the Wrecking Crew, he talked about one guitar player that blew his mind in the old days. That guy was Lee Ritenour. What a privilege it was to hear Lee take a stroll down memory lane as well as talk about his exquisite new project, Amparo, with Dav Grusin. Known for his own albums, Lee’s versatility has been in demand by some of the biggest name in showbiz, from Pink Floyd, to Steely Dan, and literally on and on and on.
