Find ways to ask for something
Find ways to ask for something like it’s a done deal. “Would you consider booking my band?” That sounds like you’re asking for a favor. Try “I’m touring your region and am available on May 25th. Do you have an opening?” That sounds like you’re assuming they want you and their mindset goes to whether they accommodate your date, not if they want you at all. That’s asking from a point of power.
