GRAMMY FOUNDATION HOLDS ESSAY CONTEST FOR LAW STUDENTS
The GRAMMY Foundation® has launched its 11th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative® (ELI) Essay Competition, co-sponsored by the American Bar Association. The contest is open to law students who are asked to write a 3,000-word essay on a compelling legal issue facing the music industry. A $5,000 cash scholarship will be awarded for the winning paper and $1,500 will be awarded to each of four runners-up. Each winner will receive airfare, hotel and a ticket to the GRAMMY® Awards in L.A. on Feb. 8, 2009, as well as invitations to other GRAMMY Week activities.
