Contest to Remix Johnny Cash is underway

ACIDplanet.com, an internet site for user-generated music, video content, computer-based recording and remixing tools, has unveiled a contest to develop a music remix of Johnny Cash’s debut single “Cry, Cry, Cry, ” later included on Cash’s debut album, His Hot and Blue Guitar. The winner of the contest, developed by Sony Creative Software, Remix magazine and Compadre Records / Music World Music, will have his or her song released digitally in conjunction with the upcoming Johnny Cash Remixed album being released by Compadre Records / Music World Music. Contestants can download the components to the Johnny Cash remix contest at www.acidplanet.com and the deadline for submission is midnight Oct. 5, 2008.
