Company Description
Taylor Hohendahl Engineering, LLC (known as T.H.E. Audio) was founded in 1999 and combines research and development from Essen, Germany and the United States with laboratories in both Argentina and Europe. Using entirely new (patented) electronic designs, specialized metal vaporizing and machining techniques as well as their own manufacture of classic capsule designs, T.H.E. hand-builds microphones in small production runs to their own discerning specifications.
T.H.E. Audio is also known for their research and development in the field of stereo audio capture. Currently, they manufacture both binaural recording spheres (T.H.E. BS-3D) and the HOLOPHONICS Recording Head System (due in November, 2008). The main lab offers custom-built microphones and calibration for professional clients all over the world.
