Logo No-No
Unless you are absolutely sure about your logo, just proceed with registering a word trademark. One of the biggest mistakes that bands commit is to register a specific logo and a few months later decide to change it. If you register a logo you are tied to that logo and its design and you will need to go through the whole application process again if you decide to change it (even if you just change the color.)
