Ken Allardyce - Producer (Green Day, Weezer)
“If you listened to Led Zeppelin now it would sound like a demo –– a bad one at that. However, there’s something to be said for the spontaneity that comes with having to make records. When you have the ability to go back [and redo things], you never really have to make a decision. The danger is that a song can become homogenized; too perfect. That’s great up to a point, but I think that the foibles, the humanness in recordings are what touch us more than ProTools’ perfection.”

To say that Led Zeppelin sounds like a demo is either a knock on the recording instrumentation of the time or one on their quality of music. I would hope it would be the former and not the latter seeing as they’re one of the greatest bands of all time.
